Sarah Martinez was an event manager with over ten years of experience but nothing could have prepared her for this particular scheduling challenge. She sat at her desk surrounded by the usual party planning goodies : colourful party planning catalogs and whiteboard, staring at the strange request that had landed on her desk.
Four close friends – Alex Maya, Chen, Rosa, and Tyler – had somehow come up with the most outrageous birthday idea ever. They wanted a whole week of birthday celebrations – each of them would celebrate on consecutive weekdays from Mon to Fri. But there was a catch – instead of telling her their birthdays, they’d given her a whole set of cryptic clues.
‘Well this is a brain teaser’ Alex said with a cheeky grin. ‘We want to see if you can figure out who’s celebrating when just from these clues’.
Sarah loved a good puzzle and this one looked like it would really put her logical thinking to the test
The brain teasers they left her to unravel
The friends had left Sarah with these teasers :
Clue 1: Alex has his birthday the exact same amount of days before Rosa’s as Maya has hers after Chen’s .
Clue 2: Chen has his birthday 2 days before Ty gets to blow his candles out.
Clue 3: Rosa is having her cake on a Thursday.
After a bit of scratching her head , Sarah managed to work out who was having their birthday on which day. Can you do the same?
